About Tiluka
I am a UK Registered Dietitian with the BDA (British Dietetic Association) and Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)
I completed my undergraduate degree in Nutrition and Dietetics at Coventry University where I was awarded for my dissertation looking at sociocultural factors contributing to eating disorder development in south Asian women. I then went on to work in the NHS and specialise in Eating Disorders and Disordered Eating. I have since worked with many clients and their families with a variety of eating difficulties within the NHS and privately.
I regularly volunteer as a befriender with eating disorder charity, First Steps ED. I hold group nutrition presentations to help people rebuild a healthier relationship with food and student support sessions to help students manage university life and their eating disorder.
I am a qualified yoga teacher and use somatic healing techniques, mindfulness and guided meditations to help clients reconnect with their bodies.
I believe in taking an integrative and holistic approach towards nutrition taking into consideration the mind, body and spirit and meeting each client where they’re at in their recovery to reach their goals.
In my spare time, I enjoy spending time in nature, arts and crafts, cooking and baking!
