About Cleo

I am a highly specialist Mental Health Dietitian.

In a world increasingly shaped by social media, where narratives about food, body image and exercise are constant and often overwhelming, the impact on mental health can often be overlooked. My work centres on reconnecting these conversations, supporting psychological wellbeing and nutritional health together, rather than in isolation.

I’m Cleo, a registered Dietitian specialising in adult mental health, disordered eating, and nutritional difficulties that arise alongside mental health conditions.

I grew up in Cyprus and moved to the UK to undertake an integrated Master’s degree in Nutrition and Dietetics at the University of Nottingham, graduating in 2017. I began my career in the NHS as a general clinical Dietitian in an acute hospital setting, before specialising in mental health, working across inpatient services including adult and older adult wards, forensic settings, and rehabilitation units. This breadth of experience allows me to approach complex and nuanced challenges with confidence and compassion, helping individuals rebuild a safe and sustainable connection with food.

Through my experience, I have seen service users make meaningful progress in their eating behaviours, yet in some cases they relapsed when access to ongoing specialist dietetic support in the community was limited. This reinforced the importance of consistent, ongoing care for adults experiencing disordered eating and other nutritional difficulties alongside mental health challenges. Private practice allows me to provide that continuity in a space where you feel heard, understood, and supported.

My professional path is also deeply personal. As a powerlifting athlete, I have long been aware of the powerful relationship between food, performance, and mental health; as well as how easily that balance can become strained. This insight strengthened my commitment to supporting individuals in regaining trust in their bodies and developing a more secure, sustainable relationship with food.

My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and non-judgmental, grounded in evidence-based practice. I take the time to understand your individual story, struggles and goals. Together, we will work towards restoring your relationship with food, creating lasting, meaningful change at a pace that feels safe, realistic and sustainable for you.
